S Goodridge Gardens was founded by Sam Goodridge ND. Before starting the company Sam completed a 3-year full time BTEC National Diploma in landscape studies. Whilst still at college he obtained his institute of groundsmanship and City and Guild NPTC chainsaw operations certificates.
On completing his course in 2000 Sam was selected as part of a team to help design and build a garden for the Chelsea flower show. He and his team were delighted to obtain a gold medal as well as the Channel 4 viewers awards voted for by the general public. Sam gained vital plant knowledge whist working for national renowned Hillier Garden centres. Over the 3 years he was there he worked his way up to assistant plant area manager gaining huge wealth plant knowledge. With his new wealth of plant knowledge Sam worked for a local landscaping company gaining vital knowledge and experience in the industry before taking the opportunity to work in Australia. For well over a year Sam worked for William Dangar and Channel 7, working on TV shows Auction Squad and House calls to the rescue. On discovering that Australia wasn’t the place and missing the English seasons and gardens Sam returned and started up S Goodridge Gardens.
Since starting the company, S Goodridge Gardens has grown and grown to provide customers with the full range of landscaping services. Sam and his team pride them selves of being a professional, polite, hard working and reliable team.
All staff at S Goodridge Gardens are experienced, trustworthy and have been trained with all the skill necessary to carry out the work to the high company standards.
Within our team we have a bricklayer qualified with a Level 2 NVQ in Trowel Occupations and an electrician who is fully qualified with a 17th edition Wiring Regulations Level 3 NVQ. We also have a member of staff qualified with a Level 2 Forestry and Arboriculture Diploma.
We are fully insured with employer’s liability and public liability. All plants and materials are of the highest quality enabling us to provide the highest standard of work.
